Support Zyx's Healing After Dog Attack

I'm creating this fundraiser for my good friend, Alex, and his sweet kitty, Zyxablixx.

This past Saturday, 3/15, Zyx was attacked by their dog and has been at the emergency vet since then. She sustained several broken ribs/flail chest, full body subcutaneous emphysema (pockets of air trapped between her muscle and skin), pneumothorax pressure on her heart and lungs, lung rupture, and liver injury. Her expected recovery time is at least 4-6 weeks, most likely more.

She is a tough little kitty, having lived on the streets before finding her forever home with Alex, but has a long recovery ahead of her. As many of us know, emergency vet bills add up fast and Alex has spent all of his funds so far to keep her alive - money that he hustled hard to earn these past few months in a slowing tattoo industry.

I have seen the immense love that Zyx has brought into his life and their soul-deep connection has already proven to aid in her recovery. After a downward turn in her health the other night, his presence by her side for over 8 hours brought her back and her health improved and is now relatively stable.

Your donations and generosity will allow Alex, who has taken off work to be with her every day, to continue financing Zyx's care and help him recoup the vet bills from the last week so that he can still keep his rent and bills paid.
