#saveourscene - support DJs of colour during covid
THANK YOU TO ALL THAT DONATED. WE HAVE ENDED THE STREAM FOR NOW AND USED THE FUNDS TO PAY OUR PERFORMERS. FOLLOW US ON INSTAGRAM FOR FUTURE PROJECTS
We are two art platforms and collectives Irregular Fit x Ante Arts Collective looking to support artists of colour who need immediate support due to loss of income spurred on by covid-19.
Creative industries have taken a large hit in the midst of this pandemic, so we‘re raising funds to support our djs and performers who have all suffered a significant loss of income due to the cancellation of gigs and events.
Due to current support measures, many within the arts and creative industries don't qualify for government funding and are relying on the now mainly defunct gig economy and casual work.
We wanted to create some respite for people during this time and manage our own mental health so we started L.A.N party: a free fortnightly livestream series that centres First Nations, bla(c)k , POC, trans and queer artists. Given so many artists have lost large amounts of revenue we want to create opportunities for artists and entertainment for everyone out there missing the club.
Every second Saturday L.A.N party will be coming to you live (stream live twitch.tv/irregularfit) showcasing fantastic djs of colour spanning from hip hop, electronic cumbia, vogue/ballroom, house, grime , techno and more. L.A.N party has a little something for everyone.
You can stream our livestream here:

How can you support us?
We would love if within your means you could make a donation, or please share this across socials and encourage others to donate.
Once covid-19 has passed we will be throwing a huge get together with all donations equivalent to entry :)
