Supporters for Ethan Gentry and Family
Our nephew, Ethan Gentry, recently underwent neurosurgery to remove a tumor from his brain. Shortly after surgery, his intracranial pressure started to rise from a hemorrhage at his operative site and he had to go back to surgery. Due to these post-op complications, Ethan has been unable to come off the vent. He has good moments and then he has set backs. You can read more about his story on my Facebook page, Sheena Etienne Gentry, or his father’s Facebook page, Jason Keith Gentry, as he had been trying to keep everyone updated daily. Several friends and family have reached out and asked how they can help, and next to PRAYER, this is how I think we can show the most support at this time. Financially. Jason and Melanie have put their whole lives on hold and have made Ethan their number one priority. In doing this, they are having to be away from work, away from home, eating at restaurants or picking up snacks at the hospital or out, flying family members in and out of Birmingham, hotel fees, gas from driving back and forth, and the list goes on. This doesn’t even include the increasing Medical bills that are being added everyday. None of this was expected and I didn’t ask permission from Jason or Melanie before I did this. I see how hard this is for them and they may be in this limbo situation for a while. Ethan’s status could vary day by day and the medical team has no concrete answers regarding a timeline. That makes it very hard for this family to make any plans for the future. Ethan recently graduated from the University of Alabama and he has his whole life ahead of him and he has a loving team of family, friends and an outstanding medical team around him to help him get there. Please continue the prayers and if you feel lead to do so, please consider giving a donation here to help the family in anyway they can use this money. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts, Shawn and Sheena Gentry
