Support for Lindsay
Donation protected
In late August 2020 my beautiful big sister Lindsay was diagnosed with an advanced, rare form of cancer - a NET (neuroendocrine tumour) that has spread to her liver. With more testing and information to come, Lindsay and her husband Luke are facing the reality that although treatable, her cancer is incurable and life limiting.
I could never imagine my 38-years-young sister would face such a burden, whilst busy raising her beautiful daughters Lexi (3 years) and Maesha (nearly 1).
Many of Lindsay’s extended family and friends have reached out seeking ways to support her, and we know that the types of support offered are diverse. In a Covid-climate with many of her friends and family spread across the globe, this is one very beneficial way to support Lindsay at this most difficult time if you have capacity.
Through considerate recommendation of Lindsay’s close friends, our aim is to provide direct financial relief to Lindsay, Luke and their children during this immediate and upcoming period. Luke lost his full time employment due to Covid-19 in March, and Lindsay cut short her maternity leave to be the full time income earner. At this stage there’s uncertainty around Lindsay’s capacity to return to work.
All the funds raised will go to Lindsay and Luke, for the immediate costs of initial tests and treatment, to prepare for the future and most importantly, to help them enjoy every moment they have together with their beautiful girls.
On behalf of Lindsay and Luke, your generosity and love is truly appreciated.
With love,
Rowen - Lindsay's brother.
