Support for the Harney Family

As many people are aware Officer David Harney suffered an aneurysm after the football game early Saturday morning. He was taken to Medical City Lewisville and was quickly flown to Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas for emergency surgery. The surgeons were required to replace his entire aorta, including the root and valve. The surgery was a success, he was taken off the bypass machine, breathing tube has been removed, and he is currently in stable condition and talking! However, due to the seriousness of the condition he is not out of the woods yet. The major concerns at this time are blood clots and potential strokes, so please pray for a full recovery and healing.

Officer Harney is a School Resource Officer in the Lewisville Independent School District. He serves all of Highland Village. In our community, he is not just a pillar of protection, but also positivity. He is an amazing husband, father, son, friend, mentor, role model, and police officer. He is truly one of a kind, and it is hard to express in words. If you have ever had any interaction with him you will know exactly that we mean. Our community is beyond lucky to have him.

During this time his family will continue to face trials. Recovery, physical therapy and time off work will pose a financial burden. Let’s come together as a community and help alleviate some of the financial stress so the Harney Family can focus on Officer Harney’s healing.
