Trish and Darren, high school sweethearts, found each other early and wasted no time living their dream. 20 years later, picture of happiness, the two of them, with their 4 children aged 5, 8, 10 and 12, were active in the community and often taking in all life had to offer.
Tragically, the dream turned into a nightmare, with the devastating event of the brain aneurysm which claimed Darren's young life. This family, which so many have come to know and love in Campbell River, has always been regarded as ideallic and something to aspire to. Their genuine happiness, and honest loving nature, could not go unnoticed. I could only hope that, in response to their tragedy, we can rise to that same ideallic standard and offer what peices we can to help ease the burden of what lies ahead. It truely does take a villiage to raise families, and Campbell River is one awesome villiage!
