The U.S. departure from Afghanistan has left many Afghan families in dire need of financial support for basic necessities. The situation is even more dire for families with someone who supported U.S. efforts after 9-11.
Since the Taliban takeover in August, Patty and I have been supporting two families that I know, but I just lost my job and will have to reduce support until I get another job.
