Supporting Afghan Refugees in Leavenworth, KS

Please join Trail Life Troop KS-0001 in supporting an Afghan family, Ahmad Sharpoor Nooristani, his wife Seerat, and their two children, here in Leavenworth, KS. 

Ahmad Shapoor was a member of the Afghan military who came to attend a school at Fort Leavenworth but when Afghanistan fell to the Taliban, he found himself separated from his family and unable to return to his country.  Through a long voyage that was both remarkable and dangerous , Seerat and their children finally arrived to the US in April where they were reunited after over a year separation. They arrived with the clothes on their back and the bags they could carry. They desire to become American citizens and will soon embark on that process. The US military (CGSC) is involved in helping them only until June, at which point they will have no job and no place to live. They will need funds to purchase a car, secure an apartment, and buy everyday necessities.
