Supporting Brandon Jenkins in His Fight Against Brain Cancer
Donation protected
Dear Family, Friends, and Kindhearted Community Members,
I am reaching out to you today with a deeply heavy heart to share the story of my son, Brandon Jenkins, and to ask for your support in his brave fight against a rare and aggressive form of brain cancer.
On the morning of September 10th, our lives changed in an instant. Brandon, who had been his usual playful self, woke up with an unusual headache. Alarmed, I asked him simple questions, and to my shock, he couldn’t respond. I watched as he became increasingly lethargic, unable to stand, sit up, or speak. We rushed to the emergency room, where an initial round of tests came back inconclusive. Trusting my instincts, I requested a CT scan, which revealed a devastating discovery: a large tumor pressing against his frontal lobe.
Our world turned upside down as we were immediately transferred to Loma Linda’s Children’s Hospital ICU. Since that day, Brandon has endured two critical brain surgeries. The first surgery helped to relieve the pressure by draining excess fluid from his brain, and the second, a craniotomy, allowed the skilled surgical team to remove the tumor. Although the surgery was successful, the lab biopsy confirmed our greatest fear: the tumor contained highly cancerous cells, and Brandon was diagnosed with Stage 3 brain cancer.
Brandon has a long road ahead. He will require intensive radiation and chemotherapy to target the remaining cancer. The tumor’s presence in his frontal lobe has caused damage, impacting his motor skills on the right side of his body and affecting his behavior. Yet, through it all, Brandon continues to find moments of joy in playing with his toys, watching Spider-Man, and spending time with his two sisters. These moments remind us of his resilience and the joy he carries, even through the hardest days.
As you can imagine, the emotional and financial toll of Brandon’s illness has been overwhelming. We are humbly asking for your support in helping us cover the mounting medical expenses, including his upcoming treatments, therapy, and ongoing care. Your donation, no matter the size, will make a difference in Brandon’s journey to recovery and bring us closer to a day when he can return to the activities he loves, free from pain.
If you feel moved to contribute. Your generosity, thoughts, and prayers mean the world to our family. Together, we can help Brandon fight this battle with the strength and support of a caring community behind him. We cannot thank you enough for your kindness and support during this incredibly difficult time. Funds will directly be used for the care and cost of Brandon.
With gratitude and hope,
Stephanie Davis (Mommy)
