Supporting Cathy

Our sister, Cathy Denny, went to the emergency room on September 8th with a very rapid heart rate and difficulty walking. She didn’t feel good for about two weeks prior, but never expected everything that would follow.

In the ER, the doctors learned she had a lot of fluid around her heart, and they found some cancer with a scan they performed. Knowing they couldn’t give her the necessary treatment in Marinette, she was transferred by ambulance to Aurora Hospital in Green Bay. Cathy was in the hospital for 10 days, some of which was in ICU. With a couple of procedures and a lot more tests, they found Cathy has cancer in her brain, heart, liver, lung as well as a few other places. This cancer is aggressive in Cathy which is why she is already starting chemotherapy on Wednesday, September 20th. She is likely not going to be able to work the rest of the year.

More than anything, she could really use your prayers and best wishes! If you would like to donate financially for her cause as she is facing an uphill battle, she would be forever grateful. Cathy does have insurance; however, her out-of-pocket expenses are still going to be incredibly overwhelming. Additionally, she is going to need to travel a considerable amount between Marinette and Green Bay throughout the course of her treatment.
