Supporting Chet Dukes & his family
Hi! My name is Brittany Dorsey & I have made this for Chet Dukes & his family.
The road to healing & recovery.
On September 4, 2021, -just after 9 a.m.- Chet, his wife Kara, & their 2 children were involved in a terrible rollover car crash on Pennyrile Parkway at Interstate 24.
Chet was getting onto Interstate 24 eastbound from Pennyrile Parkway when a medical issue led him to lose control of his vehicle.
His truck ran off the road, hit a light pole, & then overturned.
Kara & their kids are okay as far as being able to walk away. They are banged up & traumatized. Shook to the core. Thank God for this! We never overlook blessings as this! BUT.. As they try to recover, they are torn & hurting immensely because as they were able to that day.. Chet.. her husband & their father was not.
Chet was extricated from the vehicle & then flown to a Nashville hospital where he is currently right now.
As of right now, his surgery has been postponed until Tuesday to allow swelling to go down. As of now, it appears he will be paralyzed from the waist down, but should be able to use his arms.
To know Chet is to love Chet. He is a hardworking, independent man that loves his job & family more than life itself. Like most of you, my heart is SO heavy for everyone right now. The power of prayer is SO POWERFUL & nothing is impossible with our God.
During this extremely difficult time, the last thing I want Chet or Kara to worry or even think about are his medical bills, life expenses, or anything that keeps going & adding up when time has stood still for them. I have made this fundraiser in hopes to eliminate this worry in every way possible so they can focus on Chet & his recovery, the road ahead, & for the family to be their every step of the way loving & supporting their husband & father. I know this family is so loved & has a army behind them to support them while they support each other.
