Supporting Chuy Martinez and 5 Vulnerable Children

We are reaching out to you today with heartfelt urgency to rally around Chuy, an invaluable employee at Mesa Verde Country Club for over 30 years. Chuy has endured an unimaginable family tragedy and now carries an enormously heavy burden of caring for his extended family during an incredibly challenging time. Today, we launch this GoFundMe campaign to provide much-needed assistance to Chewy and his loved ones.

A few months ago, Chuy’s sister was tragically murdered by her husband in Mexico, leaving behind their three children. In the face of this unimaginable loss, Chuy immediately stepped in, taking on the responsibility of fighting for custody of his nieces and nephews. Through his unwavering determination, Chuy has successfully brought two of the children to safety and has taken on the responsibility of caring for them. He continues to make frequent trips to Mexico and navigates the challenging legal system in trying to reunite the third remaining child with their siblings.

Chuy is not alone in this journey, as he is married and already has two children of his own, one of whom has special needs and requires a high level of care. Providing for and nurturing what is now five children across two countries is a formidable challenge for any family, and Chuy’s commitment to their well-being is truly remarkable.
