Help support a rural coastal community in Ghana

Located in the Western Ahanta Region, Cape Three Points, is a small and rural fishing village situated on the southernmost point of the Ghana. Nzema people, most of whom are fisherman and farmers, inhabit the village of Cape Three Points. Nestled in the picturesque rolling hills and fertile farmland of three rocky points jutting out to the sea, the village consists of mud and concrete dwellings, with very limited sanitation and devastating yearly flooding. Our mission is to support the local community and its surrounding villages, mainly focusing on youth empowerment and healthcare.

Trinity Yard School is a locally based non-government organisation which provides free secondary education to underserved youth in Cape Three Points, Ghana. The school focuses on providing students with academic and traditional skills as well as practical training, which in turn empowers the local community. Due to the lack of government-run secondary schooling in the area, opportunities beyond elementary school are non-existent, and local students are often prematurely pushed off the academic track, limiting their potential for growth.

Teacher-volunteers Beatrice Calvert, Franka Kreutz, Hanna Averborg and Johan Arnebro Söderberg will be initiating this fundraising which will uninterruptedly go to different investments in the local villages.

Your donations to this fundraising will go to:

- Providing local students with equipment such as pencils, notebooks and other school supplies

- After-school programs (such as the local football club)

- Supporting the elementary school

- First-aid kits

- Sanitary packs

- Locally initiated development projects

- And more…

In order to make the most of this contribution to the local area, all supplies will be bought on surrounding markets to support economic growth in the area. This initiative is closely linked to the local community and all projects will be locally focused, targeting specific needs of the community.
