Supporting Crystal Mackey | Breast Cancer

On May 23, 2018, Crystal Mackey was diagnosed with stage 3 inflammatory breast cancer, an incredibly rare and very aggressive form of breast cancer, at just 34 years old. 

Throughout the last several months Crystal has had to completely immerse herself in treatment in order to try and save her life. She has undergone chemo therapy, radiation and a double mastectomy. Recently her oncologist has made the decision to treat her cancer like it's stage 4, meaning even more medication, in hopes to prevent her cancer from continuing to spread. In April, she is scheduled to get her ovaries removed.

Through all of this, she has continued to stay the positive ray of light in the world that we all know and love.

In true Crystal fashion, she has turned a grim situation into a positive opportunity. Unable to work due to her demanding treatment schedule, she has thrown herself into college. Crystal is currently one class away from her Associates Degree in Nursing and plans on being an oncology nurse so she can help others once she is healthy and cancer-free!
