Supporting Dallas’ Homeless Through the BMW Marathon

Humans need food, water, and shelter to survive, and the unfortunate reality is that most people don’t have that.

My name is Aditya Iyer, and I’ve been a volunteer at Austin Street Shelter in Dallas for 6 years. The shelter has always been close to my heart, and each time I serve meals, it reminds me of the importance of community and support. This year, I’ll be running the BMW Dallas Marathon to raise funds for the shelter. I’ve been running the Dallas marathon since I was 13. Last year, I ran a time of 1 hour and 38 minutes, and this year I’m aiming to go below 1 hour and 30 minutes while raising money to provide basic necessities for the homeless in Dallas.
