Supporting Doug and Wylie Jones

Dear friends,

 

My name is Maggie Mackay, I have been friends with Doug Jones and Paula Buxbaum for the last nearly twenty years, I was their Boy Wylie's babysitter (and self proclaimed BFF) through his babyhood. As you know, our beloved Doug and dearest Wylie, aka The Boy, have lost their Paula. No words will ever convey how heartbroken we are for them and for the Buxbaum family, no gesture could ever ease their pain in the ways we would hope, but we are compelled nonetheless to show our love, to make them know how much they mean to us.

 

Before this unimaginable loss, Doug, Wylie, and Paula had been organizing college tours and travels for Wylie, a High School Senior this year. Now there will be unexpected bills to pay and the many emotional and financial burdens that come with such a loss, but with this small travel fund, we hope to help get Doug and Wylie back on a path to planning. We hope that this small token of love will also inspire them to connect with their vast network of friends, family, and loved ones around the country.

 

Please feel free to give as little or as much as you can, these funds will go directly to Doug and Wylie, to use as they see fit, they may cover plane tickets, hotel stays, or a train ride, but ultimately, they will symbolize our love for them, and a future surrounded and buoyed by us, their friends and family.
