Supporting Elise, Sam and Molly Laubach
Donation protected
Last week friends and family shared the shocking, heart wrenching news that Michael Laubach had been in a fatal car accident. In the blink of an eye, this gentle giant who had been happily mushroom hunting that day, was gone.
Those who knew Mike knew he had a beautiful heart, and he shared it easily. He was funny, kind, generous, smart and had a great smile. He had so many interests- gardening, mushroom hunting, woodworking, 3-D printing, D&D- the list goes on and on. This made Mike a great person to talk to and to learn from. He was a mentor and a helper, and was most always brimming with energy about his latest interests. The giddy enthusiasm Mike showed when he once found a truffle in his backyard is but one example of how Mike found joy in everything he pursued.
But no hobby could match his love for his family. He was a provider, and everything he did was ultimately for his family. Elise, Sam (12) and Molly (9) are just beginning to process the loss to their family. So many people have stepped in to help shoulder their heartache with words of comfort, stories, food and offers of help. It is clear that everyone surrounding this family wants to continue Michael's care for them.
We have set up this fund to help the family with everything from daily living expenses, end of life services, and an education fund for Sam and Molly. Donations will go directly to Elise Laubach and the kids.
Elise and her family are so grateful for your love and support. Please keep this sweet family in your prayers.
