Medical Needs - Supporting Eloise
Donation protected
This is for my amazing friend's little girl, Eloise.
Lauren and her husband Iscar have been blessed with such a loving, spunky, and fun 18-month-old; however, she has been dealing with a very heartbreaking and difficult diagnosis.
At just a few months old, Eloise had a seizure. As scary as that was, they initially thought it was a febrile seizure that would likely not occur again. However, the seizures kept happening. Months down the road, Eloise was finally diagnosed with Dravet Syndrome.
In short, Dravet Syndrome is a genetic epilepsy, characterized by temperature-sensitive/febrile seizures, and treatment-resistant epilepsy that begins in the first year of life. It is considered life-limiting and requires 24/7 surveillance.
Due to her medical condition, she is unable to attend daycare and will require a home care nurse several days a week.
This has taken a tole not only emotionally, but financially on Lauren and Iscar as they give Eloise the treatment and support she needs. Not only have the medical bills started to pile up and will continue; they also deal with the strain of a reduced income as they have to scale back their work hours to provide Eloise with care, monitoring, and medical visits.
Please consider donating to this wonderful Family that is going through an unimaginable time. Even the smallest of donations will go along way in giving this little girl the care and support she needs!
