Hello,

My name is Charla Burke and I'm setting up this GoFundMe on behalf of the Katz family. I've known Brooke since middle school, when we were around the same age as their son, Ephraim. Over the years, we have kept in touch, following each other's lives - all the ups and downs!

This morning, I woke to see a post Brooke shared regarding an update on their sweet son, Ephraim. The diagnosis is one no parent should hear for their child, and our hearts are breaking for them (please read their update below) as they walk this hard journey together.

We believe in an almighty God, one who can heal his body and remove this cancer. We know that Ephraim is a child of His and He loves him. We believe that He will use Ephraim's story for His glory and goodness.

10/22 Update:

Hi family and friends, we have a family update regarding Ephraim.

Ephraim was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma today. It has spread to his lungs, and they are saying it is stage 4. We begin chemo tomorrow and will be in the hospital a couple of days. I started a Caring Bridge in hopes to answer everyone’s questions and give updates easily. We are very open about this, including Ephraim. He actually gave me permission and said people can talk to him and ask questions. No matter what, God is good, and He’s got Ephraim and has blessed him with incredible courage.

The family has set up a Caring Bridge and will update it more once they have more information to share.

All the family has asked for is storming the gates of heaven with prayers for their son. If you have the resources to help financially, we're hoping to raise $15,000 toward his treatment.

We have a Meal Train that has been setup if you are want to help out in that area. Ephraim has an Amazon Wishlist that he created, all gifts will automatically be sent to his home.
