This fundraiser is organized by Erin's friends Kylie and Matt and Erin's cousin Keren on behalf of and with consent from the Gamble, Guthrie, Hartke & Boykin families.

We don't want to be writing this. Every word hurts.

Erin Rebecca (Guthrie) Gamble, everyone's beloved, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, February 19th, 2024 while on vacation in Puerto Rico with one of her best friends. At just 33 years old, this should not be happening and there are no words to encompass how devastated we are. This is a loss in a season of grief after the sudden passing of her father in November of last year.

Erin has been such a force of love and light her entire life and we are all so grateful to have been here to share in that with her. An incredible mom, wife, partner, daughter, sister, sister-in-law, soon-to-be aunt, granddaughter, cousin, niece, friend, teacher and so much more. An infectious laugh, the best hugs, impeccable storytelling skills, such wisdom, immense love for her people, a true empath, a lover of nature and adventure, such a beaming light of living life fully and authentically – there was no one like her and we are all better because of her. With the news of her sudden passing reaching the communities she has been a part of, we are all being reminded of the immeasurability of her impact especially in the messages of love and appreciation pouring in from her former students in Tallahassee.

Nothing will fill this hole left in Erin’s physical absence - and yet we are grateful she has connected us all as we can now continue to show up for her family as communities of support for now and the future. This fund will help us all do just that by providing immediate care in the logistics of Erin's passing and honoring her life. The funds will go right to her husband Brandon's account to manage for him, Archer, their family, and their needs.

Some immediate needs this will cover:
  • Celebration of life costs for Lake Worth and Tallahassee services (Erin's legacy is statewide!)
  • Brandon missing work as well as being the sole provider for their beautiful 6-year-old son Archer
  • Travel costs for immediate family

Some long-term financial needs Brandon anticipates (this fundraiser will be updated once we figure out more of the life changes that will take place due to this sudden tragedy):
  • Support for missing work and possibly permanently altering work location/schedule for Archer’s care
  • Therapy for Archer
  • Housing needs

For those of us who know Brandon and Archer personally and want to show up for them - Brandon would love visits. Please text/message him about dates in the future you can visit. Archer and him need love and support year-round, not just right now.

Everyone is feeling helpless, and Brandon has some potential ways for people to help in addition to this fundraiser. Whether you're in Tallahassee and willing to visit, play with Archer, bring food, or out of town in South Florida or elsewhere, there are ways you can support, use your skills, and help honor Erin! Brandon will specifically need help with house things- talking through logistics, cleaning and organizing the house, and referrals for home maintenance companies, etc.

Please fill out this google form to help us offer specific support right now.

To Brandon and Erin's friends, here is a meal sign-up (or can send a food delivery gift card) for Brandon for the next few weeks. If you are available to prepare or send a meal, please click a date and sign-up. He is greatly appreciative of your care for him and Archer during this time.

We will update how best to support Joey and Jenna as their due date approaches so they also have love and food and support during this special and bittersweet time for the family.

On behalf of Erin’s family, the outpour of support and love is beyond appreciated.

Erin is so loved and we will carry her with us forever and ever.
