Supporting Florin's Lyme Disease Recovery Journey

Hello everyone,

My name is Florin Maxim. I’m an independent artist and agricultural engineer by profession. For over 11 years, I’ve been battling Lyme disease—a condition that has completely reshaped my life. I was officially diagnosed in 2019, a year that also marked the loss of my job as a graphic designer—a career I was building with passion, despite the physical challenges I was already facing.

Creativity has always been my refuge. After moving back home to live with my parents, painting and music became my forms of therapy—rare moments of peace amidst overwhelming symptoms. I’ve continued to create, pouring my heart into every brushstroke and guitar chord, fighting this illness in my own way.

Today, I’m reaching out on this platform, hoping to raise funds for treatment at the Alviasana Clinic in Augsburg, Germany. The costs are significant, and any support would mean the world to me, even if it only covers part of the expenses. Update 19 December 2024. The GoFundMe platform specifies in its terms and conditions that only residents of Germany can withdraw the funds. Therefore, the person assisting with the withdrawal is Werner Romankiewicz.
