Supporting Ingrid’s Breast cancer journey

Hello everyone. We made this go fund me to raise money for our friend who needs assistance. Ingrid has been a good friend to many people, a great aunt, a great daughter, a great sister, a great co-worker, a great friend and has the heart of gold. She always helped anyone and everyone, now she is the one that is faced with being in need and who needs help. To everyone that knows Ingrid, nothing was ever hard for her to go above and beyond for her friends and her family.

 

A little bit about Ingrid for those who don’t know her. Ingrid is 35 years old. She was an active U.S Marine four years active and four years reserve. Ingrid received her BA in Criminal Justice. After the completion of her BA, she worked for a correctional facility in the State of Illinois. Currently, she still works for a security company working third shifts. She was working two to three jobs to keep up with bills, until her recent diagnosis where she had no choice but to let the other two jobs go. Ingrid has always been a hard worker, working for herself and her family.

 Unfortunately, Ingrid has been diagnosed with Stage 2 Triple Negative Breast Cancer. I guess cancer picks the strongest people. Her insurance is not the best and she will not be able to cover all expenses. Just one shot that she needs to take every day to keep up with her chemotherapy and radiation treatments are $30,000. Recently, her car stopped working and she depends on friends and family to take her to her treatments. There is no greater hardship than battling with a disease, but then dealing with financial hardships on top of it is not something that she should be stressing over.

Ingrid has a schedule of chemotherapy and radiation over a period until her surgery. She will have to get her breasts removed. According to her oncologist, it is a possibility that she will have proceed with a hysterectomy, due to her high chances of having hereditary breast and ovarian cancer syndrome due to a pathogenic variant.

Friends and family please share or donate and help raise awareness about Ingrid’s situation. Ingrid has never been the type of person to ask for help, so we are doing it for her.

 

Lord, you have taught me that faith as small as a mustard seed can grow into an amazing tree. Today I give you my little seed of faith. I place it firmly in the ground of your word. I water it with truth. The warmth of your love will make it grow. Today I ask by faith that you would bring healing from this cancer. I place my trust in you. May this seed sow healing into every area where the tumor has emerged. May it grow into a strong work, redeeming and restoring with great strength and power. Amen.

 

Father, the Almighty, have mercy on your afflicted children. Bless them with your healing as they give it their best to survive cancer. They have suffered enough and yet; they remain optimistic of the future; their faith resolute. We, therefore, humbly ask for your protection and power of healing, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
