Supporting Jake and his family

Our brave little 17 year old warrior, Jake, was involved in a terrible accident last Monday as he and his two identical triplet brothers crossed the Huon Highway at Mountain River on their way home from school. Jake's brothers were there when the accident happened. The little team of three who have grown and experienced everything together their whole lives were separated in a moment.

Jake has serious brain injuries and remains in a coma in the ICU at the Royal Hobart Hospital.

While it feels like it only happened moments ago for his family as we have been lost in a world of uncertainty, tears and beeping machines, we now realize there are so many people who also feel helpless and would love to help Jake's family at this heartbreaking time, without intruding on the family's precious moments together.

I am Tanya, Jake's Aunt and his mum's sister, and I have started this gofundme to provide a way for people to support Jake's family at this critical time. At the moment the funds will go towards basic expenses such as fuel for the family to drive to and from the hospital and their home in Mountain River, and things like coffee and meals, or for time out for Jake's two brothers to be teenagers.
