Supporting Jakob's family

On April 9th, 2024, the world lost a shining star, a kid who lit up every room he entered.

Jakob Lavaring, after celebrating his 14th birthday just days ago, has gained his wings surrounded by his loving family after a horrific and sudden accident.

Jakob, a well-loved high school student in our community, tragically passed away surrounded by his close family yesterday. Jakob has touched the lives of so many with his cheeky smile, his witty jokes, his loving personality, contagious laughter, and his big heart touched all of us. His passing has left a big hole in the hearts of his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Despite this devastating loss, Jakob's legacy lives on as he has selflessly given the gift of life to another child.

To honor Jakob's memory, I am asking my community for support. Jakob's family – his loving parents, Michelle and Jason and sister, Sophie – face the agonising task of saying goodbye to their beloved Jakob. Your contribution, no matter the size, will help alleviate the financial strain during this horrific time, in hopes of providing some comfort to his grieving family.
