Supporting Karen Whipple's Family
Donation protected
Karen has taught at Gainesville Country Day for over 30 years and in that time, she has shaped countless children in immeasurable ways. She will find a teachable moment in EVERY situation. Karen is never one to put her own personal needs before her students. When it's a holiday or summer break, she's at school. When she went through treatment for breast cancer, she was at school. She is always focused on how to better help our children.
We are all deeply saddened by the sudden passing of Karen's husband, Richard Whipple, on April 23rd. Richard and Karen have 2 daughters together, one who is expecting a baby very soon. We have a chance now to help her. Let's lift her up and show her all of the love that she has shown to us, our children, and our community all of these years. Every dollar collected will go to Karen, to help ease some financial burden and to help support her while she travels to see her new grandchild. We hope she will find comfort in the donations, our way of showing our love for a woman who only knows to give, never asking for anything in return.
