Supporting Kasey & Coraline Boswell

Donation protected
On Saturday, August 17, 2019, we tragically lost a loving husband, father, son, brother, cousin, and friend. Jacob Boswell was taken too soon and our hearts are forever heartbroken for Kasey & Coraline. Jacob & Kasey had just celebrated their three year wedding anniversary on August 14th.

After a fatal car accident, Jacob was pronounced dead on the scene and Kasey was life flighted to UAB where she has remained in the ICU with extensive injuries including but not limited to, a brain bleed, severe liver and spleen lacerations, a collapsed lung, broken ribs, ankle, arm (in three places) and pelvis. She will also need facial reconstruction surgery due to the severity of her injuries to her face.  She has already undergone multiple emergency surgeries and still has many more ahead of her.

Sweet Coraline was life flighted to the children's hospital and treated for her injuries. She now has a body cast for her broken leg and will need round the clock care.

Jacob and Kasey were working hard to build a loving home for their family. Jacob was the sole financial provider, and with his passing has left Kasey and Coraline in a desperate financial situation. In the days since the accident they had to move from their rental and thanks to family, they are now moved. They also no longer have a vehicle due to the total loss during the accident and due to Kasey's injuries, she will remain in the hospital until further notice, which with each passing day equals more suffocating medical debt.

Once Kasey is released from the hospital, at a later time to be determined, she will be completely unable to care for herself or Coraline alone. She will have continued occupational and physical therapies to relearn how to eat, speak, walk, and live in every day life as a widowed, single mother. The road ahead of them is long.

Times like this it's easy to question where God is, and what is plan may be, but we have no doubt that He is indeed faithful. The strength Kasey has displayed within the past few days has been a direct reflection of Gods power resting on her.

We have many people asking how they can help other than their prayers, so we decided to set up this page to alleviate the sting of any future financial strain so that she can focus on her heart healing while she begins to rebuild her body, mind and soul and be the mommy that Coraline needs.

All donations will be transferred to a special account opened by Kasey's father & step-mom, Kent & Rhonda Hutton, through Wellsfargo bank. This special account is called “A Benevolence Fund for Kasey & Coraline” which also houses other personal donations not received through this GFM site.

Few decisions are more personal & heartfelt than those surrounding charitable giving. Rest assured we will make the most of your generous donations as determined by Kasey & Coraline's needs.

Thank you in advance.
