Supporting Keafa Daycare

These past two weeks Ashley and I have had the amazing opportunity to volunteer at Keafa Day Care in Arusha, Tanzania. This daycare opened 8 years ago and is continuing to grow. As the daycare continues to grow, the harder it is to properly provide for each child. Currently, the director Rose has about 60 kids enrolled and just one other teacher to help.

These teachers are incredibly hardworking but have limited resources to properly provide for these children between ages 2-6. Due to insufficient funding they are lacking basic necessities such as running water, proper school supplies, chairs, and outdoor equipment to play.

Last week, we did not know what to expect before starting this journey. However, in just a short week we have been truly blessed to see the impact we have started to make. As our journey comes to an end later this week, we want to continue to make an impact although we won’t be present.

We are so lucky to have had this experience and want to give the children the support and love they deserve. With your help we will be able to provide them with a brighter future. Attached we have provided a picture of their objectives for the future. We thank you so much for considering donating to this amazing daycare any little bit helps and goes a long way.
