On 1/17/2022, I received the worse call a mother could ever receive. Two of my babies were involved in a tragic accident. There they are, alone, scared and without me. I rush to the scene to be told that my babies have been rushed to the hospital. I got there, and only one could be found. There I was, in rage, in a panic, scared for my baby girl, unsure of her whereabouts. The minutes seemed like hours. I was then told a state trooper was on the way to talk to me. In my heart, in my gut, I felt my baby was gone. The state trooper confirmed my worse nightmare. They couldn't get my baby out of that car. Here I am today, grieving the loss of my firstborn daughter and fighting for my son's recovery. I come to you with need. If you can find it in your heart to be of financial support, it is appreciated. Please help me lay my baby girl to rest and assist with the financial strain of getting back and forth to Gainsville to support my son.
News4Jax reports:
14-year-old girl from Jacksonville died in a crash Monday night that forced all southbound lanes of I-95 at Golfair Boulevard to temporarily close, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
According to the report, about 9 p.m. Monday, a sedan occupied by a 17-year-old boy and 14-year-old girl was stopped in the center lane on I-95 south. A 54-year-old woman driving an SUV was traveling south in the center lane when the SUV collided with the rear of the sedan.
The collision caused the sedan to catch on fire and spun it into the right lane. The SUV, however, was pushed onto the left shoulder.
The 14-year-old passenger died at the scene. The driver of the sedan suffered serious injuries.
