Supporting Laura Korkoian After Eaton Fire Devastation

Earlier this week, Laura was forced to evacuate her beloved storybook home in Altadena as the Eaton Fires spread rapidly. With only minutes to spare, she grabbed a few cherished mementos and essentials before driving away to safety, believing she’d return in just a few days.

Tragically, Laura has since learned from a friend who biked past her neighborhood that her home was completely destroyed in the fire. Laura’s home wasn’t just a house—it was a place filled with stories, memories, and love. She had proudly owned it for six years, a testament to her hard work during her 30+ years in the Los Angeles area.

Many know Laura, or Dr. Laura, as a Licensed Clinical Psychologist and Emmy-winning Producer. More than that, she is the friend who is always there for others—a compassionate listener, a trusted advisor, and a source of strength for so many. Now, it’s our turn to be there for her.

Laura is facing the immense challenge of starting over. The funds we raise will help meet her immediate needs, replace necessities and support her in rebuilding her life. Any contribution, big or small, will make a difference and is deeply appreciated.

A proud Detroit native and a self-employed contractor, Laura will need to continue her vital psychology work with elementary students and veterans in the Los Angeles area. This limits the time she can take to focus on her own recovery and well-being during this challenging period.
