Supporting Liz and Randy
Donation protected
Hi! My name is Kristen. I have a fantastic friend named Liz. We met in the 90’s while working together. She was the coworker that everyone came to when they were in need; whether it was a work need, you needed an ear to listen, or a shoulder to cry on, she was the person.
Liz was there for anyone and everyone. She was the best co-worker, but she was also a wife, mom and an amazing daughter to her elderly mother whom she cared for. She would get to work at 4:00 am to start her day so she could leave again at 6:00 am to go home and get her mom out of bed, bathe her, dress her and get her to the church to volunteer, visit friends or take her to the beauty salon. Then she would come back to work and finish her day. She loves making people happy and making them smile.
We no longer work together but still keep in touch. Liz's mom has passed away. Liz and her husband Randy have a remodeling business that keeps them very busy and they are enjoying being grandparents to their granddaughter, Lilah. Each day Liz and Randy get to have breakfast with Lilah before she goes to school. They have created a beautiful life.
Five weeks ago their world changed. Randy was having trouble catching his breath and decided to be proactive and headed to the emergency room. Five days later they discovered he has an aggressive form of Multiple Myeloma. Liz and Randy are spending their days at the hospital getting treatment and trying to wrap their heads around Randy's care plan. They have been unable to work due to Randy's new regime.
Liz has spent so many years caring for others. Always paying it forward, not because she has to but because she wants to! I want to let her know how loved she is and how much she is appreciated. This money will help them focus on Randy's health and care and lessen the financial burden that is weighing on them.
Any financial support you can offer would be very much appreciated! Most importantly, please keep them in your prayers! Thank you for taking the time to read this. xoxo
Thank you.
