Supporting Teacher Maddie's Recovery After Spinal Injuries

Maddie, an artist and teacher, is facing a difficult challenge. After a traffic accident in 2016 she was left with several spinal injuries, which have led to serious and ongoing effects on her health. Recently, one of those injuries to her cervical spine has left her unable to use her right hand and arm, and confined to bed due to the severity of it.

All of this is preventing her from doing what she loves most; teaching tiny humans to become awesome people and creating beautiful things for the world to see. This loss of income has led to Maddie falling behind on rent, resulting in her landlords initiating the eviction process while she was hospitalised. Now she has to deal with the huge undertaking of finding and moving to a new place, while injured and trying to find the best medical help.

Understandably, this has had a huge impact on her recovery, and so we’re trying to raise some funds to help her get back on her feet.

Our goal is to raise €7,000 to support her recovery process. These funds will be used for:

● Securing a new, accessible apartment: Finding suitable, stable housing is crucial for her healing.

● Covering essential medical expenses: The costs of ongoing treatment and physical therapy add up quickly.

● Bills for the next few months: These funds will allow Maddie to focus on her recovery without immediate financial worries.

Any amount contributed will make a positive impact. You’ll be helping relieve some of the pressure and allow Maddie to focus on getting better, and return to teaching as soon as she is physically able.
