Supporting Maresa Cappelli

Maresa Cappelli: A Memoir Twenty years old, a blossoming flower, wild child, ready to conquer the world, radiating positivity from every pore. Recent graduate from St Clair college (June 2019) ready to get to work in a dental office, ready to purchase her first car, when everything was falling in place for her, tragedy struck. On the fateful afternoon of June 21st, 11 days after her 20th birthday, on her way home from her job interview at a Windsor dental office, Maresa and our father were struck by an oncoming vehicle. At around 12pm, a west bound driver near Essex Ontario, on highway number 3 went for a multi vehicle pass on a solid yellow line and struck Maresa and Frank Cappelli. Maresa, tried to swerve to avoid the collision, in doing so she took the brunt of the collision and saved our fathers life, leaving him with 3 broken ribs and suffering from guilt. Maresa suffered, a broken hand, broken jaw, broken ear canal and brain swelling. For a week now, she has been in a coma. Her life will forever be changed, battling like a fierce warrior. The road is long, the sun might not always shine, but with all the support and love of hundreds, she will get through this, and our family will be whole again. With this being a long process and a marathon, not a sprint, the family is going to be missing a lot of work, and having a lot of travel and out of home accommodations to deal with. So every little bit helps and will help relieve some of the stress and tension put on the family. This will help with lawyer fees, travel fees, future hospital fees, missed wages and so much more.
