Supporting Maria M. on her battle against Sarcoma

Hello everyone,

We are reaching out to our loving friends, family, and kindhearted individuals to share the story of our beloved Maria Maltez and her battle against cancer.

Maria was initially diagnosed in 2019 with stage 3 sarcoma. She underwent chemotherapy, radiation, and 4 surgeries to remove a large mass from her leg. She has demonstrated to be very brave, positive, strong with a heart the size of the moon. God has been with her in every step of her treatment. Just when we thought she had won the battle against cancer, her recent scans showed some abnormal growths, which a biopsy confirmed her cancer had metastasized to her bones and she was diagnosed with stage 4 sarcoma. This is a very agreesive form of cancer, her oncologist ordered her to start chemotherapy immediately to avoid this cancer to spread to major organs.

This is the worst news we could have ever received, we did not have time to prepare in any way, for this treatment and due to the severity of the condition actions needed to take place immediately. Maria started her first round of chemotherapy on October 6th, she remains positive, grateful for the chance to fight, and hopeful for a miracle.
