Supporting Marla and the girls after losing John

As so many of you are already aware, the Wagg family has been fighting an enormous battle for the past 3+ years. Marla's husband of 20 years John, was diagnosed with diabetes in 2017. Since that time, the struggle for the Wagg family has been ongoing. The past 3 years has seen John spending the majority of his time in hospital. A continuous battle is what he fought. From infection, to losing his leg, to being put on a ventilator, from Marla being asked on numerous occasions if she wanted a DNR for her husband, to multiple failed attempts to bring him home, the family just kept working together to make the best of an impossible situation.
Marla has spent the last 3 years, not only as the primary caregiver for her husband, but her daughters as well. She also had the incredible burden of being the sole financial provider.
When John came home at the end of July he was given only a month to live. In true John fashion, that was the equivalent of being told "Hold my beer". He fought to see his daughter Elle turn 19 in September, see Emma enjoy her sweet 16 in December and and have one final Christmas and New Years with his love Marla. John lost his fight this past Sunday, January 10. Marla and the girls were with him when he passed away. They had spent a lovely day enjoying watching football together the day before.
With COVID and all the additional financial burdens that come with having such a sick spouse, Marla is struggling now. For anyone who knows Marla, they know she is love and kindness. She helps whenever and wherever she can. Marla needs our support now.
We are starting this Go Fund Me to make the next few months slightly easier. We want to try and take away some of her stress by helping ease the financial burden.
