Broken bones and New Life Journey

Through his tears, my son said, "Dad the safety harness did not hold.  I had it on like you said!"  Even in his shock and pain, my boy wanted to assure me that he had listened to my safety rule:  "Never get on a roof without a harness!"

When he began to fall, Matthew grabbed for the rope but the clasp of the harness failed and he plummeted to the concrete three stories below.  He landed straight up, jamming his leg bones into his body, tearing open his feet, cracking his back in three places and breaking his right arm.  I praise God he is alive.

Matthew will be unable to walk for at least three months and after that, how well he will walk is uncertain.  

Matthew's little family has no means of support.   Because he is unable to earn money for the forseaable future we are asking for $40,000 which we estimate is enough money to pay rent, food, utilties, gasoline, two cell phones, car insurance,  school supplies, school clothes and preschool and daycare costs for the next ten months.
