Supporting Melinda’s Cancer Journey

As many of you know, Melinda was diagnosed with breast cancer last spring. The cancer has been aggressive despite traditional treatments and last week was deemed chemo resistant. Her doctor told her there is nothing more they can do and to expect that she has just months.

We are not willing to accept this and would like to explore the various alternative treatments that exist. Of course insurance doesn’t cover alternative treatments. Additionally, Melinda has had to leave her job in order to accommodate her treatment schedule which includes weekly draining of lung fluid. Soon Melinda will have to go on Cobra insurance as well, which doesn’t provide good coverage. 

We’d like us all to pitch in and help take away the financial worries around her recovery.
