Callum Day supporting METUPUK raising funds for this charity
Want to join me in making a difference? I'm raising money to benefit METUPUK, and any donation will help make an impact. Thanks in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to me.
It's Jo Taylor the Founder of METUPUK and my son Regan, his best friend Callum did as skydive for METUPUK yesterday.
He's never done this before (well he is only 21) but wanted to do this challenge and then thought about which charity to support.
Regan may have mentioned METUPUK to him so he said that was the charity he wanted to support.
They are great friends and Callum turned up with a bunch of flowers after my recent craniotomy – what a lovely lad and friend to Regan.
And both Kath, Callum’s mum and myself say we are 2nd mums to our son’s best friends.
Callum did the skydive at Black Knights Parachute Centre the only centre to climb to 15,000 feet for the jump which was in Lancaster.
There is a video of the skydive so that he can look back at what he did but his goggles came off so he couldn't open his eyes! He loved it though and of course was able to see once the parachute was open and then came down to earth with a gentle landing.
What an experience and thank you Callum for choosing METUPUK as your charity to support. It was great you complete this personal challenge!
A big thank you from Jo & the METUPUK Trustees and Volunteers!
More information about METUPUK: METUPUK is the only Metastatic Breast Cancer patient advocacy chairty in the UK. We are working to improve outcomes for those living with MBC. We won’t stop until it is downgraded from an incurable disease to a chronic illness. We want people with MBC to gain access to the very best medicines to help them live longer & improve quality of life.
We ultimately work towards the day when MBC will be cured. We are here to address issues with secondary/metastatic BC. Our objectives & strategy focus on key areas that need change.
