Help Mohammed's Family Evacuate Gaza

Donation protected

Hello, I am Mohammed Jadallah, 36 years old, and I live in Jabalia camp in the Gaza Strip. I graduated from the Faculty of Engineering.

I used to live with my family; my wife, children, mother and brothers, in a beautiful house.

In 36 years, eight wars have destroyed our beautiful home over and over again and we have rebuilt it each time. But, in the last war that started on October 7, our home was destroyed to a point of no return. The occupation destroyed it first by burning it, then by bulldozing and bombing it until it became rubble.

In the first hours of the war, we fled our home in search of safety and moved to my brother's house in an area that was considered relatively safe. After half a day, we had to move to my sister's house outside Jabalia Camp but shortly after the occupation ordered the city to be completely evacuated. So we left again during heavy shelling and thankfully we reached another place without getting harmed. We were only carrying with us what we were wearing and a bag containing papers, documents and old photos.

It was only a week before an order was issued to evacuate the entire northern Gaza Strip, forcing us to flee again, this time to the city of Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip where we took refuge in an UNRWA warehouse. Although we initially thought it would be a safe place, the occupation bombed schools, hospitals and communities in this area making every place vulnerable.

At the UNRWA warehouse, the situation was indescribable. We lived in a cramped tent no larger than three meters for ten people, amidst crowds of people exceeding 30,000, including the elderly, children, the sick and the disabled. We suffered from the heat of summer, the cold of winter and water leaks. There was not enough water, and we had to carry it long distances every day. The bathrooms were also unusable, and the long queues were an additional burden.

After that, an order was issued to evacuate the entire city of Rafah. We fled to the city of Al-Zawaida in search of safety. We lived in a dilapidated tent that did not protect us from the heat of the sun or the winter rains.

It wasn’t just losing our home that we suffered. We lost many of our relatives and friends; some were martyred, some fled the war, and some were separated from us by the borders. We lost a decent life and peace, and every day has turned into a battle to obtain the most basic needs. The dream of returning to our peaceful life has became out of reach, and with each passing day, we move closer to a new nightmare.

When the war and genocide initially happened I rejected the idea of collecting donations for personal reasons, but circumstances have now forced me to reconsider. Therefore, I have created this account so that I can help my family and the people around me as much as possible. The war forced us on paths we did not want to take, and I hope it will end soon with the least possible losses.

Thank you for taking the time to read my story and I appreciate your support. Please do not forget to share..
