Supporting Morgan with Breast Cancer Treatment
Donation protected
It’s time to help someone who has helped all of us – and many thousands of people she’s never met – many times over. Our friend Morgan Cline is fighting breast cancer. It was caught early. It is considered treatable.
Morgan will have a mastectomy at Sloan Kettering in New York on Friday. As she returns home to recover, she’ll have a lot on her mind but we can help her in big and small ways through this fund so she can stay focused on healing.
By giving thoughtfully here, you can help her manage the stresses that she can manage: time away from work, medical expenses, Uber rides to appointments, meal delivery, Chewy orders and walks for Linus. We don’t yet know what her full treatment will look like but I think we can all appreciate that the sooner she heals, the sooner we all benefit from her civic discourse, artistic brilliance, Isolation Hunk posts, marker art, and proposed Hallmark movie plots.
And honestly, the way she charms us and takes care of all of us every day, the way she uses her creative platforms to speak up for others and rally us to action, is precisely why you want to support her. Maybe the old “love and light” or “thoughts and prayers” would work on other Go Fund Me pages, but that’s just not gonna cut it here, my friends, and you know it. Sure, drop some coin if you’ve got it, but you know what we really want for Morgan. We want to see the kind of well wishes befitting the Pride of Paris herself. It’s time to fill her metaphorical cup with more than Snoop’s 19 Crimes Calirose, son.
Morgan would be quick to point out that she is fortunate – to have the support system she has, to have access to world-class health care near her home, and to live in a time when cancer treatment comes with options, and even positive outcomes. But this is still scary and shitty. So drop her a line and some love.
This is set up by many friends of Morgan who want to ensure she is taken care of.
