Supporting Our Firefighters & EMTs

Tax deductible
The Hilton NY Volunteer Fire Department just announced that it had to cancel the annual July carnival, including the grand parade and the kiddie parade, three things so many of us look forward to each year.

Normally our carnival is a four-day extravaganza of fun, food, lights and rides. Our local non-profits, fire department and sheriff's do an amazing job of putting it all together safely. Due to current pandemic conditions, the fire department made the very difficult decision to cancel this year's event.  While that's hard for the community, it's even tougher for the non-profits (including the fire department) who depend on that big, busy experience to help their annual funding.

Blodgett Family Farm set up this GoFundMe to make it easy to donate if you'd like. I know it's easy to intend to donate... and then forget. The funds go directly to the Hilton Fire Department, not to us. Straight to them.

The Blodgett crew loves standing in front of Ron Bourret's house with so much of our family every July, saluting the flags, clapping for the military and the firefighters and the sheriffs... cheering for the school band and who can forget the Lawnchair Ladies and the tractors?  And I still get emotional every time West Webster Fire Department walks by...

This year is different. We know. But we can get through it together, one way or another.  In the meantime, we can let these guys know we care, even if we are "Together/Apart".
