Supporting Our New Teacher and Friend

I am reaching out to ask for your support for Emmy, a new teacher in our district who is facing a challenging battle with cancer. Emmy has been teaching gifted education at Steamboat Springs Middle School, and despite her health struggles, she has remained dedicated to providing the best possible education to her nearly 100 students!

Emmy and her husband Dan, who also works in our school district, commute to and from Craig each day. They have two young adult children who reside with them in Moffat County. Emmy's cancer, which she had before, has come back with a vengeance, requiring many travel days and medical expenses. Unfortunately, as new members of our district, they do not have access to our sick bank for financial support.

Emmy's commitment to her students and our gifted education community is truly inspiring.
