Supporting Parker's Dissertation Project

Hey, y'all! I'm raising money to support my dissertation project-- an afterschool makerspace for Black high school kids. My aim is to provide access to all manner of digital technologies for students to explore and learn through. We will engage with VR headsets, AR authoring tools, 360 cameras, 3d printers, GPS tags, robotics kits, and more. this year, I've applied for $85,000 in grant and fellowship funding. So far, I have sourced $3500. This money will help me reach most of my technology targets-- tech which will be donated to the school and district. However, I think it's important to compensate participants, and I want to have dinner for them since after-school activities wrap up around 6pm at our school. At this stage, I'm anticipating paying for these out of pocket... this is a daunting task on a grad student's stipend.
