Supporting Patients at Lenox Hill Hospital

During this pandemic, we are facing so many unprecedented actions and it can be difficult to keep up with the daily changes. Today, we received word that, following Department of Health guidelines, we have cancelled all visitation at Lenox Hill Hospital for COVID19 patients as well as any other adult patient in the hospital. As some of you may have experienced, being hospitalized - anything from an orthopedic surgery to a cancer surgery or treatment - can be stressful and lead to increased levels of anxiety, fear and sadness. Think about what that experience might be like if you had to do that alone without the support of your friends and families. That is what hundreds of patients are facing today, both COVID19+ patients and all others. 

We are seeking support to help our patients combat the isolation they are facing while hospitalized. We will use the funds raised here to purchase activities and other items to distract and promote healing during this difficult time and support children and families feeling the absence of their loved one.
