Supporting Pete Stoehr: A Beloved Husband, Father, Colleague

Donation protected
Dear Friends, Colleagues, and Compassionate Supporters, I'm reaching out to you with a heavy heart but also with hope and determination. Our dear friend and colleague, Pete Stoehr, has been a pillar of strength and positivity in our lives, and now he needs our support more than ever.

Pete has dedicated 30 years of his life to serving with integrity and dedication at the Correctional Service of Canada. For the past 17 years, he has been an invaluable member of the William Head Institution community, where he recently earned a well-deserved promotion to Correctional Manager. Prior to that, he served admirably at Grierson Centre in Edmonton and the Edmonton Maximum Institution.

Beyond his career, Pete is a devoted husband to his wife of many years, Joyce Stoehr. Together, they have raised a beautiful family, including their daughter Kelsey and son Jordan. They beam with pride as grandparents to Kelsey's two young children, Grayden and Olivia.

In recent years, Pete has been a rock for Joyce, supporting her through multiple brain surgeries and challenges since 2019. While Joyce was recovering from her third surgery, Pete received shocking and devastating news: he has been diagnosed with Stage Four Pancreatic Cancer. This unexpected blow has left the family reeling, and Pete's time with us is tragically short.

Despite facing his own battle, Pete's unwavering focus remains on ensuring Joyce's well-being. Financially, the family will be strained, as Pete has been the main provider, and Joyce requires ongoing support due to her inability to drive and her legal blindness. Pete has always been the one to offer comfort and support to others, even in the face of his own challenges.

Pete's infectious positivity and unwavering belief in the goodness of people have touched us all. He cherishes life's simple pleasures, like road trips, hot tubbing, spending time with family including his beloved dog Winnie.

Now, more than ever, Pete and his family need our help. Your donation, no matter how small, will make a difference in their lives. It will ease the financial burden they face and allow Pete to focus on what truly matters: spending quality time with his loved ones.

Let's come together as a community and show Pete and his family the love, support, and gratitude they deserve. Together, we can help lighten their load during this incredibly difficult time.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your generosity, compassion, and kindness.
