After Surgery Care for Rachel

Our dear friend, teacher, mentor, music enthusiast, collector of rubber duckies, and lover of bacon, Rachel is going to have some major surgery very soon.  After having four children of her own, all via caesarian sections, medical specialists have urged her to promptly undergo necessary corrective surgery as a consequence.  This surgery generally has a great outcome, after proper recuperation and at least six to eight weeks recovery time.

A number of us want to draw together to support Rachel, her husband Pete, and their four children, as she gets better.  If you have ever come to any music classes with Rachel, you’ll know she’s never taken a cent from teaching them in the last four years, but always put everything she has into each class. 

So, with her permission, (although this is a deeply private matter for Rachel), we have set up this page to help assist her recovery and after care, and we want your help too!

Our hope is to raise at least $8,000 for the six to eight weeks recovery including post-surgery medical assistance, home and domestic care, nannying and meals.  Money raised in this campaign will go directly to the Greenwoods to provide them with this much needed practical help.
