Supporting Radlett High Street
Donation protected
Shopping local never felt so important as during and after the first lockdown and now we're in the lockdown trilogy (hopefully it won't be like Fast and Furious with 8 in the franchise!) it seems like our wonderful high street is suffering irreparable damage.
Our bustling village has become something of a ghost town which breaks my heart as I've lived here all my life, had an office here for 11 years and remember spending all my paperboy earnings with The Chocolate Box on their penny sweets.
This page is for Radlett residents to donate to their high street. Some lovely benefactors have come together to match whatever is donated, with the campaign closing on the 12th of February. Alice-Emma and I are benefactors with commitment from some anonymous others and more to follow.
The money will be split equally between each shop on the high street that has been forced to fully close over these lockdowns. Inevitably there will be some level of discomfort as shops have opened since the first lockdown, been partially open or perhaps pivoted to takeaway services, but I hope that the help provided will be welcomed by the majority.
Please show your love for our village and if you're keen to join as a benefactor, you can contact me in confidence.
*Whatever is raised will be matched by the benefactors with the total then split between the closed shops*
Thanks,
Ben.
