Supporting Ricci Wigg
Donation protected
On Sunday 21st April, 8 mins into his Sunday league match, Ricci was injured in a freak tackle that has seen Ricci attended by Air Ambulance and then transferred to the Trauma unit at Milton Keynes A&E.
Ricci went to emergency surgery and they have put a rod and pins in the leg to fix the clean break of the Tib & Fib.
Unfortunately Ricci has had a few complication on his road to recovery, with the surgeon’s monitoring for compartment syndrome, nerve damage, chest pains and drop foot.
A week in they have managed to get the pain under control with a large amount of medication.
He is mentally and physically drained and we are all rallying around with visits to try and keep his spirits up.
Ric has not yet been able to work with the physios due to the pain levels and soreness on the leg from the complications.
We are hoping this week he will be able to start with the physiotherapist and start his long journey ahead to recovery.
Ric has a predicted 6-8 months recovery journey ahead of him and will not be able to work during this time.
We have decided to set up this go fund me page to try and raise some money to help him on this journey as he will be unable to work during his recovery.
Hopefully this will take the financial pressure of him and allow him to concentrate on his rehabilitation.
Any donation you can make will be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
