Supporting Robert Taylor and His Family

Dear friends and family,

I'm reaching out to you with a heavy heart to share the story of my father, Robert Taylor, and the challenges our family is facing. In April of 2021, my father was diagnosed with lung cancer, but unfortunately, he chose not to pursue treatment. Fast forward to September 2023, he suffered a seizure at work, and subsequent tests revealed that his cancer had progressed to stage four, spreading to his adrenal glands and brain, resulting in four tumors. Despite undergoing open brain surgery to remove one of the tumors, my father has chosen not to pursue further treatment.

As his condition has deteriorated, my mother has become his full-time caregiver, and both have refused hospice care. Recently, my father's health has taken a drastic turn for the worse. He now requires a wheelchair, cannot walk unassisted, and is experiencing confusion and difficulty speaking. On top of refusing to eat and drink. Seeing my once vibrant father in this state is heartbreaking.

I'm creating this GoFundMe campaign to ask for your support during this incredibly challenging time. We are facing mounting expenses, including medical bills, attorney fees related to managing his affairs, and the eventual costs of cremation. Additionally, we are trying to sell his house in Texas to alleviate some financial burdens.

My father has been a dedicated ironworker since his teenage years and a loving husband to my mother for over four decades. His illness has deeply affected our family, and we are struggling to cope emotionally and financially. Any contribution you can make, whether big or small, will be immensely appreciated and will help us navigate this difficult journey ahead.
