Supporting Ruzel's Journey: Treatment and Family

Meet Ruzel, her husband Noel and their children Shane and Elijah. Their lives were filled with love and dreams for the future. But their world was turned upside down when Ruzel was diagnosed with a brain tumour. This, just a few years after Ruzel had fought and conquered breast cancer.

Ruzel has a passion for helping others and has been a community leader of the Wimmera Filipino-Australian Club. Her and the family have opened their home in the past to new community members, providing a warm and supportive environment as they settle into their new lives.

Due to the brain tumour, Ruzel experiences fatigue and difficulty walking, making it challenging for her to work or manage daily activities without assistance.

Ruzel's condition prevents her from working and Noel, a devoted husband and father, now shoulders the responsibility of caring for Ruzel and their children, adding further financial strain for their family as Noel also can’t work while he provides full-time care for her and their children. Ruzel's illness has a profound emotional impact on Shane and Elijah.

Your generous donations will help cover the costs of transportation and accommodation as Ruzel and Noel travel three times per week from the Donald in the Wimmera to Melbourne, Stawell, and Ballarat for her essential medical treatment.

Ruzel's family hopes to bring her mother from the Philippines to Australia, allowing her to visit and support Ruzel.
