Samantha Bakers Road to Recovery

Waubhizgokwe Samantha Baker is a daughter, mother, niece and wife; she has worked hard and had more than her fair share of struggles.

Samantha woke up early one morning in July 2022, paralyzed on her left side and with little to no use on her right side. She was rushed to the hospital, where no one could tell her what was happening, and she was not treated kindly while awaiting to see her doctor. It's been three months. Samantha is still in the hospital recovering and just had another procedure Monday, October 3, 2022, and will be there for a while longer. Her income has decreased by 45% since then, and as we all know, she is too proud to ask for help at times; she is very independent.

We have decided to start fundraising to help Samantha and her family with additional living costs while recovering.

It has been difficult for Samantha, but she remains strong, humble, proud, and courageous.

She is fighting hard and has a long road ahead; she is relearning how to walk and use her body again. Karma, Samantha's daughter, is currently in Ireland for a Karate competition; Samantha is very proud of her accomplishments and wishes she could be by her daughter's side.
